To start the year 2024 fresh and new, we remove old habits, items, and not to forget the Christmas tree from the house. We’re making a fresh start with new year’s resolutions, but how about starting the year with a new interior? With the Optimism living trend, you make a fresh start and bring a cheerful, refreshing style into your home. With this trend, there is no lack of color and you let the interior shine.

Meet Optimism

Have you dived into the world of new living trends and do diverse colors and shapes appeal to you? Optimism fits this picture; within the living trend, you’ll find matches with playful decorative pots in various colors and shapes. Orchids added to this can be recognized by their summery colors and Rhipsalis by their wild-growing hair. Bright colors, such as yellow, orange, blue, and peach play a leading role in Optimism and are combined with white and black.

A happy face is a must for a cheerful and playful look. Go for colorful decorative pots, which you can beautifully combine with the pink orchid. Do you also come across home accessories such as pillows, paintings, or statues during your search? These fit with Optimism and are easy to combine with orchids and green plants in decorative pots, so it can’t be crazy enough!

4 inspiration tips to get started with Optimism

Do you love variety and is it time to give your interior a makeover? We’ll give you a few tips to get started with Optimism yourself.

Tip 1

Complement Optimism by adding ornaments in cheerful shapes and colors.

Tip 2

Create a mood board with different colors from Optimism, orchids, green plants, and decorative pots to get a picture of your future interior. Pinterest is a handy platform for this, where you can create fun boards for inspiration!

Tip 3

Got all the plants and decorative pots at home? To give a twist to orchids, take out the sticks. By letting the branches fall along the decorative pots, you create a playful effect. The Lausanne orchid is suitable for this and easy to combine with yellow or peach-colored decorative pots.

Tip 4

You don’t just achieve a new interior with accessories, plants, and decorative pots; by painting a wall in a peach color, you give extra power to Optimism and create a cheerful, fresh look. Through handy apps from paint suppliers, you can digitally check if a certain color fits your style and interior.

Orchid care

When you have orchids in your home, you naturally want to enjoy them for as long as possible. They don’t like a cold environment, so place them in a room with a temperature between 18 and 22 degrees. Besides a room at room temperature, watering is an important part of care. You do this by submerging an orchid with its plastic nursery pot in water once a week. Then let the nursery pot drain well before placing it back in the decorative pot. Want to know more about orchid care? Read it in our care tips to become a real pro in care!
