Too much moisture in the air can cause fungi or diseases. Conversely, air that is too dry can cause stress.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1466\">In a greenhouse, moisture is automatically created by:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1535\">\n<li data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1481\">\n<p data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1481\">watering<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1508\">\n<p data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1508\">evaporation from plants<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1509\" data-end=\"1535\">\n<p data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1535\">temperature differences<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1537\" data-end=\"1658\">In the past, excess moisture was removed by opening a window. Instead, the air passes through a heat exchanger. This removes the excess moisture from the air while the heat is retained.  <\/p><p data-start=\"419\" data-end=\"590\">That recovered heat is then reused to heat the greenhouse or to bring incoming air up to temperature. This way, the energy stays within the system. <\/p><p data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"607\">This ensures:<\/p><ul data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"735\"><li data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"633\"><p data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"633\">less heat loss<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"660\"><p data-start=\"636\" data-end=\"660\">lower energy consumption<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"686\"><p data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"686\">a more stable climate<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"735\"><p data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"735\">drier leaves and less chance of fungi<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2075\" data-end=\"2180\">Instead of opening windows and losing heat, the climate is now smartly regulated with a closed and energy-efficient system.
