A people-oriented culture
Within our nursery – part of OK Plant – employee well-being is central. This people-oriented character is deeply rooted in our culture.
Our team consists of 55 permanent employees and 120 flexible workers. What makes us special is that we offer everyone equal opportunities to grow. No fewer than 45 flexible workers have been with us for more than three years. Many of them started as flex workers and progressed to key positions, such as team leader.
We don’t just look at what someone does today, but especially at who someone can become.
Growing with the OK Academy
To actively encourage development, we founded the OK Academy. This internal learning program offers employees the chance to develop both personally and professionally.
This includes skills training, leadership development, language support, and personal coaching.
By continuing to invest in knowledge and growth, we are building a strong future together for our people and our plants.
Focus on culture and connection
People from various backgrounds and nationalities work in our nursery. We see this as an enrichment.
We actively respond to holidays from other cultures, such as Fat Thursday (a Polish holiday). This way, everyone feels seen and valued.
In addition, we organize Dutch language courses so that employees feel welcome and can develop more easily within our company and in the Netherlands.
Vital and healthy working
A pleasant workplace also means focusing on health and vitality. That’s why we offer free fruit and vegetables on the work floor every week, fresh soup for everyone every Monday, sports classes, and of course, fun company parties.
Working together, moving together, celebrating together.
This approach was also recognized with the Stigas Healthy and Vital Working Jury Prize 2024, a wonderful confirmation that investing in people pays off.
