Color says more than a thousand words. This doesn’t just apply to your clothes or brand logos, but especially to the interior of your home. The colors around you have a direct influence on your mood, energy, and peace of mind. Are you busy redecorating your home, or do you simply want to create more atmosphere? Then color psychology is a valuable starting point. An easy way to add color is with plants and flowers. And what could be more stylish and cozy than an orchid?
At Kolibri Company, we understand better than anyone how important atmosphere and tranquility are in the home. From our greenhouse in Naaldwijk, we deliver stylish and freshly grown orchids, pots, and plants that take your interior to the next level. Together with you, we bring not only color but also balance into your home. Read on and discover which colors affect your mood – and which orchids match them perfectly.
Blue: peace and relaxation
Blue stands for calmness, silence, and trust. This color evokes feelings of serenity and clarity, and often causes a decrease in heart rate and blood pressure. An ideal color for rooms where you want to relax, such as the bedroom or bathroom. If you want to enhance this soothing atmosphere, blue orchids are a perfect choice. They are not only an eye-catcher but also immediately bring a calming effect.
Red: energy & passion
Red is a powerful, energetic color that makes you alert and increases your heart rate. It stimulates activity and passion, making it work well in spaces where dynamism is desired, such as the kitchen or living room. However, you have to be a bit careful with red: too much red can also cause restlessness. A beautiful way to give an energetic touch to your interior, without it becoming too intense, is with red orchids. They inject atmosphere and liveliness – perfectly in balance.
