With all those colors around us, one color is put in the spotlight every year. This year, too, a color of the year has been announced by the Pantone brand. This year, it is “Peach Fuzz” that carries the title ‘color of the year’. A beautiful, soft, and subtle peach shade that we see reflected in fashion on the catwalks, but certainly also in interiors. Peach Fuzz evokes feelings of friendship and tenderness, an attractive shade that sits between the colors orange and pink.
Color of the year in your interior
Peach Fuzz will be seen everywhere: in clothing, interiors such as home accessories, or even furniture. With its soft appearance, the interior will give a friendly welcome and make you feel right at home. We have also added the color to our range, which combines well with different colors of orchids. You can play with white colors for a friendly and harmonious look, or go for yellow and pink for a funky and catchy look. Would you like some nice Peach Fuzz colored decorative pots in your home? What does Pantone stand for?
The Pantone printing company was founded in the 1960s. They became known for their standardized color system, the Pantone Matching System (PMS). This system became the gold standard for designers, printers, and manufacturers. Each shade in the system has a unique number with corresponding specifications that can be looked up worldwide. Super handy, because this means you always get the same color in print work.
How many Pantone colors are there?
Pantone offers an extensive color library with thousands of shades to choose from. All colors can be found in a color fan that is used internationally. Pantone colors consist of 14 basic pigments. The ink of a PMS color is mixed to the right color before printing.
What are the colors of 2024?
In 2024, Pantone is putting the color PANTONE 13-1023 on the stage. But how do they select it? Originally, the Pantone Institute introduced the Pantone Color of the Year as an educational program in 1999 to get the design community and color enthusiasts around the world discussing color. They wanted to draw attention to the relationship between culture and color.
Ultimately, over the years, the program has become a guide for designers, brands, and consumers worldwide. This year marks the 25th celebration of the color of the year. This is determined by a team composed of color experts from all over the world.
